“School is Closed” Moses Brown Head Matt Glendinning

There are so many rituals students perform the night before a possible snow day. Some of which include wearing Pj’s inside out, or putting a spoon under a pillow (never fails). Some even go as far as to dance in front of the refrigerator while singing, “Let it Go.”

For the past few days, student got their wish as snowstorm Juno slammed the East coast (depending on where you live). But instead of those annoying 5 am phone calls with the robot voice, students received a rather different closure announcement. Matt Glendinning of Moses Brown School did a reenactment of, “Let it Go,” entitled, “School is Closed.”

The video went viral, featuring Glendinning singing about how there will be no school and students should remain home, sleep, drink hot coco and maybe do some reading. Imagine your old school heads. Could you see them doing this?

Check out the school closure announcement below.

Ellen and Oprah Discuss “Selma”

Oprah joined Ellen Degeneres to have a discussion about the recent film “Selma”. The film revolves around the story of Dr. Martin Luther King and struggles with the Civil Rights movement. The film addresses the march from Selma to Montgomery in attempts to pass a low allowing blacks the right to vote.

Ellen admits that she cried from the first scene to the end and without sharing spoilers, she had reason to do so. She further admits that she would have been one of the white followers marching beside them, as many can agree with.

The film shares old photos and captions of those who walked back in 1965 on the battlefield that was Selma, giving an eye opening experience into the dark days of American History.

“Selma” is in theatres now.

New ‘Peanuts’ For Movie 2015

“Good Grief” Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang are back for an all-new 3-D adventure. Starring Charlie Brown, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Linus and of course, our favorite adorable pooch, Snoopy.

In the clip, we see Snoopy fast asleep on the roof of his doghouse, no surprise there. As Christmas ornaments are being places, Snoopy drifts off to Pairs where he flies around the Eiffel Tower only to wake up in the back yard again. We get a glimpse of the Peanuts gang towards the end as Charlie Brown attempts to make his way to his seat for the film, which is playing at the movies.

Steve Martino, who is directing the film, assures fans that there won’t be any modern day twerking or ‘breaking of the internet’. The idea is to represent 50 years of the classic comic strip and do it justice. Not that anyone wouldn’t want to see Snoopy twerking just a little bit.

The new ‘Peanuts’ film hits theatre’s Nov. 6, 2015!
